The iPhone 11 was the best selling smartphone in Q1 2020


iPhone 11 was the subject of controversy with the design of its rear camera when it was first introduced in 2019. The new design, which has radical lines for the brand, received great criticism from the vast majority of brand lovers. The general view was that this design was rather ugly, while the brand side said it was revolutionary for a unique look for the new iPhone series.


Although the model did not get a positive reaction in terms of design, it met the expectations in terms of sales and the iPhone 11 was the best-selling model with 18 million shipments for the 2020 Q1.

iPhone models accounted for 10% of phone sales in the first 3 months of 2020

Among the top 10 mobile phones sold in the first quarter, 3 models of the iPhone 11 series were also included. In total, iPhone 11, Pro, and Pro Max made 10% of total mobile phone sales, with a sales figure of 25 million worldwide.

3 out of every 4 phones sold in the world are Samsung or Xiaomi

When we look at the rest of the list, we see the names of the two brands.

China's rising value Xiaomi is in second place with Redmi 8 series, while Samsung is in the top 10 with 4 models.

  10. iPhone 11 Pro – 3 million

Unique mobile phone users rose 2.5% in the first quarter of 2020

According to We Are Social and Hootsuite data, mobile phone usage increased by 2.5% compared to April 2019. This percentage is numerically equal to 128 million. This means that 3 out of every 4 people worldwide use phones.
